Downer is also utilizing PLINX’s MachineTAGS, which provides collision protection by combing data from nearby tags and sending audible and visual feedback to both operator and workers to reduce the likelihood of a collision. The system not only creates an early warning system to prevent injury of Downer People but to reduce the risk of delays on the project.
Team members are currently trialling the TeamTAGS technology to understand how efficiently the system works before integrating the system into the wider project.
